Invisalign® Is Not Just About Aesthetics

People often think of Invisalign® as cosmetic dentistry, and it absolutely can be. There’s nothing quite like a perfectly evenly spaced set of teeth when it comes to a beautiful smile.

Invisalign benefits the patient in so many more ways, however. When your teeth are evenly spaced, and your bite is properly aligned, you’re much less like likely to suffer from chipping, fracturing, and excessive plaque build-up.

The Peninsula Center of Cosmetic Dentistry is pleased to be offering a $1,000 discount to anyone who starts Invisalign treatment by December 13th of this year. Keep in mind also, if you have a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) time is running out to take advantage of those dollars you’ve saved.

There’s really no better time to pursue Invisalign treatment at PCCD. Read on to learn more about Invisalign and if it may be right for you.

How Does Invisalign Work?

Invisalign consists of clear plastic aligners that are specifically designed to fit perfectly over your teeth. In this way, they slowly shift your teeth into the optimal position without the use of heavy metal braces.

Once a set of aligners has done their work, a new set of aligners will be prescribed. It is possible to have your aligners shipped to you in the mail, so you don’t have to squeeze in visits to the dentist every time you’re ready for new aligners.

Is Invisalign Right For Me?

More adults than ever are seeking out orthodontic care and Invisalign is partly responsible. Since the aligners are clear, you can undergo treatment without the whole world knowing about it. This is especially beneficial to professional adults and teenagers who don’t wish to smile for their peers and showcase a mouthful of unsightly metal.

Another benefit to Invisalign is the ability to remove them in order to eat and clean your teeth. This means certain foods won’t be restricted, such as popcorn and caramel, such as they are with metal braces. It is also easier to keep your teeth clean without metal braces getting in the way.

It is important to note that compliance is imperative with Invisalign treatment. The aligners can only work when you wear them, and it is recommended that you wear them up to 23 hours per day. As long as you are diligent about replacing them after eating or brushing and flossing, your treatment should prove successful.
